Integrate OutBlog to
Shopifyin minutes
Connect Outblog to Shopify to sync AI-generated blog posts.
How Shopify Integration Works
The Shopify integration lets you install the Outblog app from the Shopify App Store, connect your store with your Outblog API key, fetch generated posts into the app dashboard, choose which Shopify blog container you want to publish into, and then publish directly under that selected blog section. After publishing, you can review each article through Shopify's live view and editor view actions.
Step-by-Step Configuration
Follow these seven steps to install the app, connect Outblog, sync your posts, choose the right Shopify blog container, and publish your articles clearly into that section.
Install the Outblog app from the Shopify App Store
Start from the official Outblog app listing at Shopify Store and click Install. This begins the Shopify installation flow for your store and takes you to the permission confirmation screen.

Approve the Shopify app installation
Shopify will show the install modal with the permissions Outblog needs for your store. Review the requested access and click Install again to finish adding the app to your Shopify admin.

Paste your Outblog API key and save the connection
After installation, the app opens the Outblog Setup screen inside Shopify. Visit Outblog Dashboard to get your API key, paste it into the API key field, and click Save & Connect to link your store.

Fetch your first posts from Outblog
Once the API key is saved, you'll land on the Outblog dashboard inside Shopify. If you haven't generated any posts yet, visit Outblog Dashboard to create them first, then click Fetch Your First Posts or the top-right Fetch Blogs button to sync them into Shopify.

Choose or create the Shopify blog container you want to publish into
After your posts are fetched, go to the Settings section and set the Shopify blog destination before publishing. There are two common cases here depending on whether your store already has a blog section.
Option 1: You do not have a blog section yet
If your Shopify store does not already have a blog container, the app will show an empty state with a Create 'Outblog' Blog button. Click it to create a ready-to-use blog section so you can continue without leaving the app.

Option 2: You already have one or more blog sections
If your store already has blog sections, use Select Blog to Publish to choose the one you want for upcoming posts. The selected blog is shown right below the dropdown so you can confirm where the next publish will go.

Publish a synced post into the selected Shopify blog
Once the destination blog is selected, your posts appear in the dashboard table with their title, image, status, and created date. Click Publish on any pending post to send it directly into that chosen Shopify blog section.

Review the published result from your dashboard
Once the publish succeeds, the post status updates to Published in the dashboard. You can then use the available actions to open the storefront Live view or jump straight into the Shopify article Editor view for final edits under the selected blog.

What Gets Synced
The Shopify app pulls your Outblog posts into the dashboard so you can review them before publishing. From there, you can choose the Shopify blog container you want to use, publish individual articles, publish them in bulk, and monitor whether they are still live in Shopify.

Troubleshooting
Common issues you might face while installing the app, connecting your API key, fetching posts, and publishing to Shopify.
App not appearing in Shopify
Check that the app is installed in the correct store, approved for that environment, and visible in your Shopify admin navigation.
Connection or auth failed
Re-check your Outblog API key, store permissions, and any Shopify app scopes or callback URLs needed by your integration.
Articles not syncing correctly
Review your selected destination blog, make sure the correct blog container is chosen before publishing, and confirm the posts were fetched successfully into the dashboard.
Formatting looks different in Shopify
Compare how rich text, images, embeds, and SEO fields are transformed by the app and adjust the mapping rules as needed.
